Yes, this device supports the use of ECG with 3 or 5 leads. To change the lead mode used, please refer to the manual for detailed instructions.
Yes, heart rate can be read if we perform ECG and SpO2 measurements. If both measurements are used simultaneously, heart rate will be obtained from the ECG.
This device is equipped with data storage for patients, so using it for more than one person at the same time will result in the incorrect patient's data being stored in the wrong profile.
There are three modes on the NIBP cuff: Child, Infant, and Adult. Ensure that the appropriate mode is selected and the correct cuff is used before starting the measurement.
Make sure the cuff is properly placed on the patient's arm and is in accordance with the selected mode to ensure accurate readings.
1. Prepare the Patient's Position
The patient should sit calmly, with their back supported and feet uncrossed.
The arm to be fitted with the cuff should rest on a table or surface at heart level, with the palm facing upward.
2. Place the Cuff Around the Arm
Position the cuff on the patient’s upper arm, about 2-3 cm above the elbow crease.
Ensure that the inflatable part is directly over the main artery (usually indicated by an arrow on the cuff to show this position).
3. Secure the Cuff Snugly but Not Too Tight
The cuff should be snug enough to stay in place but not excessively tight.
Typically, you should be able to insert one finger under the cuff if it’s positioned correctly.
4. Ensure the Arm is Level with the Heart
For accuracy, the arm should be level with the heart.
This is crucial to ensure that the measured blood pressure reflects the true arterial pressure.
5. Instruct the Patient to Relax
The patient should remain calm and avoid talking during the measurement to prevent inaccurate results.
6. Begin the Measurement
Once the cuff is correctly placed, you can begin the measurement process using either a manual or digital blood pressure device.
